"President Jimmy Carter exemplified integrity, compassion and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others. Guided by his faith, he championed democracy, public health and conflict resolution in the United States and around the world. From his service as a Navy submariner to his time in office and the decades of humanitarian efforts that followed, President Carter was a true servant leader. Our thoughts are with the Carter family and all those touched by his kindness and service. May his legacy continue to inspire us all."
