And, we want every bottle back because if our bottles are collected and recycled properly we can decrease our use of new plastic and remake our bottles into new bottles as intended.
In a recent opinion piece in the Cape Cod Times, Steve Boksanski of the Massachusetts Beverage Association states how beverage companies are, “committed to working with state and local officials…and building upon our work to improve collection of our 100-percent recyclable bottles and ensure they don’t wind up where they don’t belong.”
America’s beverage companies recognize the value of joining with others who share the goal of protecting our environment. It’s why we’ve partnered with World Wildlife Fund, The Recycling Partnership and Closed Loop Partners to implement our industry’s breakthrough effort, Every Bottle Back, to reduce the use of new plastic and remake our bottles into new ones. Our hope is that Every Bottle Back will serve as a catalyst for industry, government, environmental groups and consumers to come together and develop innovative ideas to build a more sustainable future for generations to come.
