America’s beverage companies are an integral part of their communities across the nation with a long history of stepping up in the face of challenges. Last week, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder declared an emergency in Flint, Mich. where the tap water is contaminated and unsafe to drink. The beverage industry quickly responded to the emergency, donating approximately 100,000 bottles of water to date.
In difficult times, the American people have a strong tradition of coming forward to extend a helping hand to their neighbors. The beverage industry is proud to be a part of this tradition and always stands ready to provide assistance to communities in times of disaster and need. They do this not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because they care deeply about their communities.
