A key part of our commitment is driving innovation in options will less sugar or no sugar at all. Here are just three actions Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper and Pepsi are taking to do so:
- The Coca-Cola Company recently launched Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, with a new and improved, better-tasting recipe that gives U.S. fans real Coca-Cola taste with zero sugar and zero calories.
- Dr Pepper Snapple Group has introduced two new mid-calorie (90 calories per bottle) versions of Snapple Straight Up Tea, including Honey Green Tea and Rooibus.
- And In the first 3 months of 2017 alone, Pepsi launched four new national brands each with less than 100 calories per 12 ounces - LIFEWTR (0 Cal), IZZE Fusions (60 calories per 12 ounces), Lemon Lemon (70 calories per 12 ounces) and Stubborn craft soda (90-100 calories per 12 ounces).
These are just some of the ways, these three competitors are working to reduce sugar and calories consumed from beverages. To learn more about their work visit BalanceUS.org and follow Balance US on Facebook.
