If you take a look at the latest happenings in Knoxville, Tenn., you’ll see a city focused on comprehensive measures that will increase recycling rates and provide curbside recycling access to tens of thousands more residents.  The city formally launched a recycling program called “Do Your Part with the Cart” – an initiative that will provide the option of curbside recycling services to residents.  To check out this cool video that explains the program, click here.

Carts for recyclables are provided to households at no cost, and, to make it even more convenient, residents do not have to sort any of the materials!  More than 17,600 homes have already registered for the program, and more are joining up every day.

We wanted to take a minute to applaud city leaders who worked on bringing this program to the citizens of Knoxville – excellent work!
