Last month’s jobs numbers were released today, and it got us thinking about the economy.  It’s not like this subject hasn’t been top of mind for millions of Americans for several months.  Even the Presidential debate earlier this week was dominated by the subject.

We read something from the folks at Foodandbeveragepeople.com that we thought our readers might find interesting – it turns out that nearly 25 percent of the overall job growth last month was attributable to the food and beverage industry.

We’re proud to be a vibrant economic driver in our communities.  The non-alcoholic beverage industry alone plays a very important role in the U.S. economy.  Our industry has a direct economic impact of $118.9 billion, provides more than 227,000 jobs and helps to support hundreds of thousands more that depend, in part, on beverage sales for their livelihoods.

If you’re looking for more information about the beverage industry, be sure to check in with us on Facebook and Twitter.  We’d love to hear from you!
