Yesterday at an IKEA in Canada, a monkey in a winter coat was spotted walking around the home goods superstore, having escaped its crate and let itself out of a car in the parking lot. Customers at the IKEA immediately took to social media, posting pictures and tweets about the monkey and his wool jacket.
Interestingly, a recent Pew Research Center survey revealed that more and more Americans are getting their daily news from mobile and social media sources as opposed to traditional print and TV. Of the 3,003 adults surveyed, 20 percent reported regularly getting their news from social networks such as Facebook or Google+, which is nearly triple the usage from 2011. An additional 39 percent reported getting their news elsewhere online.
