Over the past six months, communities from coast to coast have shown great strength and unity through the countless ways they are serving one another. Men and women are putting themselves at risk to serve the front lines and ensure our most basic needs, like healthcare and food supply, are met. We are grateful for all the brave healthcare professionals, first responders, and food, beverage and retail workers who are continuing to find ways to go above and beyond to make sure their neighbors stay safe.

Beverage companies have always stepped up to help their communities wherever and whenever they could. The COVID-19 pandemic and challenges that followed were no different.

When hand sanitizer vanished from shelves seemingly overnight, beverage companies stepped up to facilitate, produce and donate bottles to those who needed it the most. Employees designed and made face shields and masks at home while using their own resources to provide to others at no cost. A local Coca-Cola bottler, Coca-Cola Consolidated, worked with Southeastern Container, a bottle manufacturing co-operative, to make tubes for COVID-19 test kits - ultimately shipping more than nine million tubes to states from California all the way to Maine.

SodaStream©, owned by PepsiCo, collaborated with medical professionals to develop an alternative to the ventilator to help those battling COVID-19. After only three months, a cheaper, less-invasive and highly efficient ventilator alternative was created thanks to SodaStream© technology, which they plan to put next to as many hospital beds as possible.

And, as a direct way to support and express gratitude for healthcare professionals battling on the frontlines, Keurig Dr Pepper donated coffee stations with brewers and K-Cups to thousands of hospital break rooms across the country. These are just some of the few ways our members have stepped up to deliver and support our neighbors during these challenging times.
