The Hoosier Beverage Association (HBA) knows that partnerships make the world go 'round. Be it nationally or in its own backyard. That's why HBA partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank for an event last week to distribute food to local families in Anderson, Ind.

According to Diane Masariu Carter, executive director of the HBA, "Second Harvest Food Bank is one of eleven food banks that belong to Feeding Indiana's Hungry. The food banks work to cover the entire state, by splitting the state into geographical sections. Each food bank sets up their own 'tailgates' to distribute food to families."

One might wonder how the HBA might fit into this endeavor, but from our own experiences, we know most people drink something with their meals. That's why the team at HBA worked with its bottler members to donate low- and no-calorie products for this event. "This donation of water from the Hoosier Beverage Association will have an incredible impact on the clients our food banks serve," said Emily Weikert Bryant, executive director of Feeding Indiana's Hungry.
