Today, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) released a statement in response to a recent study on sucralose, re-confirming the safety of the ingredient found in many foods and beverages.
This is an important confirmation, as individuals world-wide rely on sweeteners, like sucralose, as safe and effective tools for both losing weight or maintaining weight loss.
The International Food Information Council (IFIC) also points out that not only EFSA deems sucralose – and many other sweeteners – as safe but “[s]o do the World Health Organization and the world’s leading health agencies in Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Japan and the United States."
