Finally .. the cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin here in Washington, D.C., have reached peak bloom.  While this may seem insignificant to some, it is a sure sign that spring has finally sprung for those of us living and working in the nation’s capital.  Although, with temperatures hitting above 80 degrees today, we’re left wondering where spring has escaped to already!  What we do know is that, although unseasonably warm, the weather does present a great opportunity to get active.  So if you’re local, take some time to walk around the Tidal Basin this evening after work.  And if you’re not local, there’s still plenty of opportunities to take a walk in the neighborhood or a bike ride with the kids.  Whatever you choose, it all helps towards balancing out  your calories!  And remember, if you get thirsty, our members make a wide array of options from which to choose.
