Today marks Global Recycling Day and as an industry with a long-standing commitment to building a sustainable future, we know that effective and efficient recycling is critical to doing so.

That’s why as part of our Every Bottle Back initiative, we are working with our partners at The Recycling Partnership and Closed Loop Partners to invest in community programs that improve recycling infrastructure and education. Through this work, we are advancing our collective mission to create a circular economy for plastic. 

Since the launch of our partnership in 2019, we have committed more than $10 million for infrastructure and education improvements in 11 communities, which together are projected to help collect 644 million more pounds of PET over ten years. Work is already underway in five communities – Broken Arrow, Okla., Dallas-Fort Worth, Kenosha, Wis., Ann Arbor, Mich., and Central Ohio – and will begin in others soon.

It is through this work together that we can get more of our 100% recyclable bottles back and help keep them out of our oceans, rivers and beaches.
