We here at Sip & Savor talk a lot about our Balance Calories Initiative and it’s a no-brainer why - it is the single-largest voluntary effort by an industry to help fight obesity.
Today, we are proud to support our neighbors, the Canadian Beverage Association, as they launch their own Balance Calories Initiative. Their goal, like ours, is to reduce the number of calories individuals consume from non-alcoholic beverages by 20 percent per person nationally by 2025. Just like the companies here, Canada’s beverage companies are committed to supporting balanced lifestyles. Through marketing and providing consumers with myriad low- and no-calorie choices and smaller portions, Canada’s leading beverage companies are already making head-way.
As Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” We at the American Beverage Association are pleased to have the Canadian Beverage Association join in this ambitious goal.
