"The beverage industry looks forward to working with President Biden on improving the prosperity and well-being of all Americans in 2021. America’s leading beverage companies have longstanding roots in communities across the country. We have seen the devastation that the pandemic has caused everyday Americans, businesses and hard-working employees. We also witnessed the extraordinary efforts of neighbors helping neighbors as our essential workers along with those across the food, beverage and retail industries made sure people had access to the essentials.

"We will move ahead with reducing our plastic footprint, investing in community recycling projects nationwide to increase the amount of our plastic bottles that are remade into new ones. We will continue to help families’ efforts to reduce sugar in their diet by offering more choices with less sugar or zero sugar, and smaller portion sizes. We welcome opportunities to work with lawmakers on ways to protect and grow jobs.
"The beverage industry is ready to work with President Biden on creating a circular economy for recyclable materials through strong collection policies and infrastructure modernization. Our goal continues to be increasing the amount of plastic bottles remade into new products, keeping them out of nature and reducing our use of new plastic. We are consistently working with environmental groups and leaders in both parties on producer responsibility collection policies. These policies will fulfill the promise of recycling and complement two priorities of the president – jobs and climate change. We offer our support to the Biden administration to help move these critical environmental issues forward."
