American Beverage President & CEO Katherine Lugar issued the following statement in response to the U.S. House passing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

“America’s beverage companies applaud the House for passing an important infrastructure package that recognizes the need to invest in our municipal recycling programs. The infrastructure bill will help strengthen our communities and overall economy by investing in essential roads, bridges and water systems. The critical investments in our recycling infrastructure will help create a circular economy for recyclable materials, spurring public-private partnerships that grow the economy, create new jobs and provide a cleaner environment for future generations.”
