America Recycles Day is here once again, but recycling isn’t something that can be thought about just once a year. America’s leading non-alcoholic beverage companies have been working all year to provide sustainable packaging and promote responsible recycling practices across the country.

We produce 100 percent recyclable aluminum, plastic and glass beverage containers, including our plastic caps! In fact, when you recycle one aluminum can, you save enough energy to run a laptop for 5.2 hours or power a 60-watt CFL lightbulb for 60 hours. For every 10 plastic bottles recycled, you save enough energy to run a laptop for 25.4 hours!

Our industry is saving hundreds of millions of raw materials industry-wide, through package reduction. Some notable achievements include:

•                     Keurig Dr Pepper developed the lightest 2-liter plastic bottle ever put on the market.

•                     PepsiCo removed over 89 million pounds of packaging materials from the market in a single year.

•                     The Coca-Cola Company reduced their CO2 emissions in North America by 150,000 metric tons, thanks to their PlantBottle™ packaging.
